Everyone wants to be more productive right? But are we taking steps to achieving this? Here are some tips that I've found to be incredibly helpful for me over the last few months. I've also found that it's kind of a chain reaction, the more productive I am the more productive I feel and hence the more motivation I have to continue being productive!

1. Plan
Write down your goals for the week and along with it, a to do list. This way you can spread out the tasks you need to get done over the week so that by the end of it, you won't feel overwhelmed with a bunch of tasks you don't want to do. To take it one step further, expand on your to do list and goals by making them specific to each day. Do this each morning before the day has begun, it will help you to plan out the day and hence be more effective with your time throughout it.
2. Prioritise:
Prioritise the most important things to allocate your time to and the least important things to allocate less time to. Think about whether or not you are giving enough time to the things you do really care about. For example, is health a priority yet you haven't exercised, ate healthy or truly rested in 3 weeks?
3. Be Disciplined:
It's easier said than done right? But the truth is, we have what it takes to be disciplined. The more we practice something the easier it gets and before we know it, it becomes a habit. The longer you put off the things you need to get done, the worse you feel and the less motivated you are. So, just get it done!
4. Get Enough Sleep:
Do you get enough sleep for your body to function at it's optimum best? I know your probably sick of hearing it, but the reason for that is, because it is so important! Perhaps you get enough sleep yet still find yourself falling asleep during the day (like me), try having a short nap for 25-30 minutes no longer and see how you feel. I regularly take these short naps and sometimes I don't even fall asleep completely, yet I feel re-energised about 20 minutes after the nap.
Perhaps you have trouble falling asleep at night? Try waking up at the exact same time everyday along with going to sleep at the same time. At first it will be difficult and frustrating yet eventually your body will get used to it. You'll find yourself falling asleep much easier plus you'll have a better quality sleep. I know the idea doesn't sound all that appealing but I promise I love it and after making it a habit, I won't ever go back!
5. Give Yourself Grace:
Allow yourself grace to not always be perfect in achieving your goals. Allow yourself to realise that 'failing' is okay. Don't give up or question whether you can do it, pick yourself up and keep working toward progressing even if it looks like 2 steps forward and 1 step back.
