Do you want to go on holidays but can't quite afford it? Perhaps you don't know how to spend your next weekend/day off? All of these locations are a 1-2 hour drive from Sydney making them the perfect locations for a day trip. At each location, you will enjoy the stunning views in which Australia has to offer. Sometimes it is easy to get caught up in the beauty of other countries that we forget just how beautiful our country is.

1. Lincoln's Rock, Blue Mountains

Lincoln's Rock is about an hour and a half drive from Sydney's centre. It is a stunning viewpoint in which looks out onto the blue mountains. If you are after a picnic with a view, some beautiful shots, or simply somewhere to go on the weekend, this is the place to go!

2. Penrose State Forest

Penrose State Forest is one of my favourite places to visit. It is located on either side of the Hume Highway and is just under a 2 hour drive from Sydney. It's stunning pine trees make it the perfect location for a photoshoot. Jacob and I have been here on multiple occasions to film and photograph for various projects. We love it so much that we even had a second wedding photo shoot here! Whether you are after photos or not, the forest is beautiful to drive through and explore. Because it is so huge, you are so likely to have it to yourself!

3. The Southern Highlands

From waterfalls to wineries to glowworms and cute towns, the Southern Highlands has plenty to offer. You can enjoy picturesque views, scenic walks or a delicious lunch at the local pub or cafes. Check out Carrington Falls and Fitzroy Falls, Robertson Inn (for lunch), Robertson Cheese Factory, Mittagong and more.

4. Sea Cliff Bridge

If you've seen any brochures or pamphlets for the South Coast, it is likely that you have seen a picture of Sea Cliff Bridge. The bridge was built in response to the old road been permanently closed due to constant rock falls. The bridge is one of only 7 off-shore bridges that lie parallel to the coast in the world. Because of this, the views it provides are stunning. Take a walk across the bridge and then head up to bald hill lookout for some more stunning views!

That's all for now!
