WHY YOU NEED TO VISIT BERRY

I’ve always loved visiting Berry however, after visiting a couple of weeks ago I realised just how much I love it and wish we visited more! It is located on the South Coast past Wollongong just before Nowra. It‘s approximately a two hour drive from Sydney and could easily be made into a day trip.

So now, what your really here for, the reasons to visit Berry!

The Cafes

There are multiple cute cafes in which you can choose to dine in. Whether you’re after breakfast, lunch or a light snack with a coffee, you will definitely find what you are looking for. Just take a stroll around the town reading the various menus and see which cafe suits you best! When my family and I were here just a couple of weeks ago we had lunch at the 'Figbird Cafe and Deli'. It wasn’t too crowded and they were super attentive to our need of being gluten free. Overall we loved it!

Shopping

From boutiques to homewares, you can enjoy strolling through each kind of store. There's even a little vinnies if you’re after a bargain! Our favourite store however was a little homeware store called 'Haven and Space'. They were quite inexpensive and had a ton of gorgeous homeware. We may have left with a few little things!

The Drive

If you are driving down from Sydney or Wollongong you will definitely enjoy the drive down. I had forgotten just how beautiful it is to drive through the Kiama bends around the luscious green hills whilst having the ocean on the other side. It's almost worth it just for the drive! I must have been too busy enjoying the view because I forgot to take a picture.

The Berry Donut Van

My Mum was sharing with me how she and her friends (several years ago) would travel down from Sydney after church just to get a few donuts from the famous Berry donut van. Although I cannot eat them myself, I have been told they taste amazing!
